Santoni is a staple at Milan fashion week. BDMOTP always looks forward to seeing their innovative and quality footwear selection. For the coming fall/winter, Santoni focused on both classic oxfords but also more modern styles like ankle boots and sneakers. Burgundy, blue and green are all bold colors found among the AW16 collection of shoes.

The collection seemed to feature crocodile skin almost exclusivly–used in oxfords, loafers, boots, even sneakers! Backpacks were present and also were created from luxe fabrics such as fur. calfskin or python. Highlights were funky boot buckles and fur lined sneaker boots. Santoni is true to its roots but always thinking of ways to be modern, and we love it!

The Larusmiani collection was an artistic one, and a Larusmiani gentleman surely appreciates beauty. The collection is filled with pure craftmanship, such as tailored suits and high-end textiles. Fabrics such as wool, cashmere and silk create delicate contrasts. A wool suit paired with a soft silk scarf makes for the perfect balance.

The Larusmiani gentleman is both a city and countryside dweller, meaning the collection is appropriate for a day in the office, a stroll through the fields or anywhere in between. Never in excess, the Larusmiani mixes prints and textures to create beautiful garments.

Eleventy featured an informal, chic style for their AW16 collection. The unusual color and fabric combinations caught our eye right away. We especially loved the blue paired with a brownish orange and they also combined various shades of grey for some unique shading.

Classic cashmere overcoats and down jackets with knitted sleeves offered wearable, stylish winter wear appropriate for a casual gentleman. Blazers and sweatshirts also gave options for dressier or sporty looks. BDMOTP could easily see a man sporting the business travel suit: a suit made of comfortable jersey knit.

Eleventy has something in their AW16 collection for every man, for any occasion.

Damir Dona had an interesting venue choice this season: the Milan Centrale train station. With the train platform as the ‘runway’ the brand took on a whole new level of cool.

The designs, mainly black and white, were voluminous and baggy, with sleeves drooping longer than the hands and boxy, long coats. Turtlenecks layered with trenches and vests kept the models warm. The occasional paint-splattered print gave some depth to the collection. Hipster ski hats were matched to the baggy outfits and the occasional pop of leather was spotted.

Damir Dona was definitely street wear, in fact, it reminded us of a more street style London. Damir Dona is definitely a brand to keep an eye on.

The Alberto Guardiani AW16 collection encompassed a variety of shapes and styles for the coming cold weather seasons. Spiffed and shined, the classic dress shoes were shiny and elegant. Capped toes, wing-tips and and crocodile skin embossed the supple leather footwear.

BDMOTP especially enjoyed the black shoe with the red or green capped toes. An original style, this look brings in a basic, simple well-made shoe and adds some interesting detail and a pop of color.

The collection also featured some suede colorful sneakers and even a few leather backpacks. Thick, strong soles indicate that the shoes are not only stylish but functional and durable as well.

Orciani is a dynamic, innovative brand that created and wowed us last season (and again this season) with the Nobuckle, the futuristic belt created without a buckle that adjusts perfectly to its wearer. The family-founded company uses only the best leather and materials, such  as exclusive vegetable-tanned hides from Italy’s top tanneries.

This season, newness comes in the form of bright new leather laptop and computer cases, and rich and supple leather reds and blues. The vibrant color and freshness continues into the belts, where you can find pretty much any style of belt you might want or need. Wallets, bags, gloves and even jackets complete the AW16 collection.

Massimo Piombo collection at Milan Uomo Fashion Week truly offered timeless sartorial awareness. The garments, made for a real gentleman who is fearless with color and has an exuberant style. Shetland wool coats, Scottish cashmere jackets, tailored formal wear was worn juxtaposed with embroidered shawls from India. Plaid was a repeated print within the collection.

Every floor had its own story: “Glamour” reserved for the 1st, “Bizarre” for the 2nd and “Obsession” for the 3rd. This contemporary collection was created using different fabrics and colors to update classic pieces and silhouettes.

Shapes, cuts and proportions were modern and colorful, but ready to wear, especially the outerwear.

The Luca Larenza AW16 collection was all about aethestics. Flowing color contrasts and shades made a big impact. Fabrics such as knits, silks and wool gave the garments a luxury feel.

The interpretation of winter coats and two-tone hats was classical but stylish. Grey straight-leg pants, boxy coats and white sheerling-lined jackets were eye-pleasing. We loved the yellow and green colors, giving the collection a natural feel. Plaids, color pops and layers made the collection quite urban.

Each item was meticulous yet wearable, and perfect for a man who deals with the chaos of metropolitan life.

BDMOTP kicked off Milan Uomo Fashion week with the Corneliani runway. Corneliani is a brand of sheer and utter perfection, one with eternal, recognizable style.

The AW16 collection was no different: we saw a beautiful, exquisite style. Starting off strong with the excellent choice of music, ”Walking in the Rain” and scenes representing a cobblestone street wet from the rain, the dapper menswear marched along the runway.

Suits following the silhouette of the body in brown and dark green tones, soft sweaters in orange, long, grey coats and large weekender bags all had a firm elegance. Long raincoats with hoods were also top-notch. The collection was smooth and dark, perfect for a stormy fall. It seems that Corneliani is still committed to quality, tradition and modernity. The line, reminiscent of the 1940s, was perfect for a classical gentleman.

The Iceberg presentation at Milan Uomo fashion week showed pop-street art styles and played with colors. The collection was exciting and youthful, especially with the Mickey Mouse masks covering the models’ faces. It took us back to those childhood days at Disney World, with playful touches added onto the long sweaters like big pockets.

Young generations will love the prints, reflecting a fusion between street style, pop art and cartoons. The bright color palette adds liveliness and cheer to the collection. We love the colored jackets and tracksuits with fur. Iceberg seems to connect the incompatible. We also took note of an olive green jacket with big zipper in the middle of the sleeve with a deep pocket on the trousers, almost bursting with energy. Fused with a sporty attitude and printed graphics, Iceberg’s current collection seems like a relaxed take on fashion. Iceberg’s imaginary world of cartoon is perfect for a stylish gentleman that doesn’t take himself too seriously.
