ABOUT THE BEST DRESSED MAN ON THE PLANET SITE

My personal style has been inspired by many over the years. My grandfathers in particular were very dapper gentlemen. Generally in suits and hats on Sunday, they were hard working laborers that knew how to clean up extraordinarily well. Watching my dad wear a suit everyday, a first generation professional and product of the 70’s polyester generation also inspired me. After a sharp uncle introduced me to GQ and I discovered Esquire in high school, I began to take my personal style matters into my own hands.

The men that shaped me all played major roles as examples, but it was my mother that rounded me. She showed me how to shop, and is still the best pure shopper that I know. Driven by a need for thrift, we pushed racks until our objectives were met: the best look at the best value. It was also my mother that instilled in me how a gentleman conducts himself. My grandmothers showed me how to be a good steward because they kept the very little they had so clean and tidy. When you only have a few pair of good pants and one pair of Chuck Taylor sneakers, you appreciate and take good care of them. Not to mention, all very strong ladies that continue to influence how I respect and treat women.

Clearly, my personal style foundation was shaped by family, as bits of them are manifest in me. This site is a tribute to them.

As for the global dimension, I have traveled internationally for years and have seen, discussed, and given advice to guys all over that face similar style challenges. More recently while in Paris for my TRIUM EMBA reunion, it occurred to me as I strolled down the Champs Elysees from the Arc de Triomphe to the Musee du Louvre, that men all over the world could benefit from a community where they could learn and share ideas about developing and embracing their personal style identity. Hence, the concept of the site.

This site is a tribute to all of the men, all over the planet, who are striving every day to present their best self and be the best Men they can be.

Finally gentlemen and ladies, let me be clear. We have some, but we don’t have all of the answers. Please, be at home on the site and feel free to share your insights and expertise. We look forward to learning from and engaging with you. Maybe even meeting you when we are next in your city!
